Position Summary

The Senior Sales Assistant Commercial Services focuses on assisting Commercial Services Relationship Managers with the maintenance of existing clients and aids in the acquisition of new clients through proposal and document generation, etc. He or she will maintain and administer existing account services and search for opportunities to expand existing relationships. This position works independently with a moderate amount of supervision from Relationship Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Managers.



Primary Accountabilities
Analyzes prospect Bank and/or account analysis statements and assist in preparing comparative pricing pro-formas.
Assist in creating commercial and government RFP proposal responses.
Completes appropriate maintenance requests and ensures proper authorization is provided to the appropriate Operations or Support representative.
Participate in onsite visits to customers or businesses to determine needs and match up Bank solutions.
Prepares all documentation needed for new and existing Business accounts, and opens accounts or processes changes on the system.
Responsible for ensuring that all required documentation for new and existing Business accounts is properly executed, scanned, and indexed within Synergy.
Resolves operational problems reported by customers in a timely manner.
Works in conjunction with the Commercial Services Support and Treasury Management Ops teams to provide current clients assistance with Commercial Service products.
Reviews monthly Account Analysis Statements for current clients to ensure accurate pricing as well as uncover referral opportunities.
Strong decision making skills and ability to conduct limited sales activity with little supervision.
Handles sales overflow from Commercial Services Relationship Managers as needed including specific responsibility of retail and business banking Commercial Services sales.
Works in conjunction with Credit to establish and maintain current risks and limits for Commercial Services Products.
Prepares and executes agreements, implementation documentation and processes/procedures in order to establish new customers on our systems.
Makes client calls via phone or in-person to conduct relationship reviews and identify potential product needs or changes required to existing services.
Works in conjunction with Banking Center Managers to educate Universal Bankers on Commercial Services Products and Services.
Orders Remote Deposit Capture scanners on clients behalf.
May process wires for current clients.
Input and process appropriate invoice(s) into Bank-Tel for Commercial Services Relationship Managers.
Works in conjunction with Commercial Services Relationship Manager to review Commercial Services Fees on Hard Charged and Analyzed accounts each month.
Reviews pricing exceptions for current clients for higher Commercial Services opportunities as well the removal of pricing exceptions.
Collects background information for potential prospecting customers to provide to Commercial Services Relationship Manager(s).
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).


Position Qualifications

Education/Experience :
Associates Degree
3 years of financial services experience
3 years of bank operations experience
Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience in treasury management strongly preferred
